So far, so great! September 4, 2010 JustWhatSomeGuySaid 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got this monitor, and thought it was fantastic, except that it didn't tilt. But with a little perseverance, I figured out this was NOT TRUE... It does tilt... Also, I was worried about how "red" the rose black frame was... But, it turns out it is actually black, and when you hit it with direct light, it gets a red "sheen" to it. So...
Final Analysis: This is a very sweet, very large monitor that has great color and sharpness. I could give it 4 stars because of the touch controls, as they are a little finicky to use... But the fact that the rose black frame didn't clash with anything in the room, and that this fact made my wife happy, easily made up for that last star. (Also the fact there weren't any burnt/dead/stuck pixels...) In the end, I would definitely recommend this monitor to others.
Tips on tilting: I have read some articles with people frustrated the stand doesn't tilt. It actually does. How you tilt it is the trick. Apparently the weight of the screen "locks" it in place. But if you lift it enough to take the pressure off the stand, you can then push the bottom back and forth. It does still require a little pressure, it doesn't swing "free".

blown away by the crisp/bright screen. widescreen is very nice. Superb for editing photos, and play video games. Works great with Ubuntu Linux

I've had 20 and 22 Samsung Monitors, all very good, but as bigger is better, this 24 is excellent. I highly recommend this, and for 229 bucks, the price is right too. I just hope not to find it for 150 next week or so.
